Welcome to Uppingham Town Council's website

Your Town Council has fifteen members who meet regularly to make decisions on the work and direction of the council. As an elected body we are responsible to you, the people we represent. Attending a council meeting is the best way to find out what we do. Please look in the Meetings Calender to find dates of our public meetings.

Resonsibilities

Every year council receives a sum of money from the council tax. This is called a 'Precept' and enables council to run and improve services in the town. Money is also raised from hiring out the Town Hall, Market Rents, Allotment and Ground rents. We can also apply for grants and loans.

Office Hours

The office is open from Tuesday to Friday 9.a.m. - 4.p.m. If the clerk is out on business it is generally between 12 and 2 p.m.
